Knowing and following Jesus is a lifelong journey that is meant to be done in community. At First Belton, we have developed a discipleship pathway to help you in your spiritual journey. We believe that each of these four steps is an integral part of knowing and following Jesus.

Discipleship begins with knowing God through a personal relationship with Jesus and building community with other followers of Jesus. A relationship with Jesus and engaging in biblical community in a church family are the first steps in knowing and following Jesus.

Growing in our faith.
Growing as mature disciples of Jesus is another step in the discipleship pathway. Maturity happens as a result of focused, intentional effort. We aim to offer purposeful opportunities for every age group to engage in their spiritual growth.

Serve
ServeServing with joyful hearts.
Disciples are commanded to make a difference by serving others. We encourage and equip followers of Jesus to utilize their gifts in serving the church and the community, demonstrating God’s love through kindness and compassion for others.

A primary goal of discipleship is to advance the Gospel. It is a great joy and a great responsibility that we all share in leading others to know and follow Jesus in our homes, neighborhoods, cities, and around the world.
